After production had reviewed numerous pitches for the 'Charly Frost Clip', the producers asked Johannes to create his own rendition for this iconic video clip, that establishes the science behind the narrative of '2012'. The challenge in creating the Charly Frost Clip, that is featured on the blog of the end-of-times prophet Charly Frost (Woody Harrelson), was to create an amateurish looking video-collage that strikes a balance between Charly's goofy humor and the explanation of the actual science that is the basis for the dramatic events in '2012'.
After the clip had made it into the first edit, production also commissioned Johannes to create and animate the main title and credit cards as well as the location description cards for the feature.
